Founded in 1992 out of his College dorm room at UPenn, Jonathan Blanc would transform his memories of being a College athlete into founding Varsity Athletic Apparel, which he quickly expanded to nearby schools to reward their varsity athletes for competing at one of the highest levels of sport. His journey was just beginning…
Now in our fourth decade of operations with an amazing team behind us, Varsity Athletic Apparel, Inc. has grown to provide authentic varsity recognition awards to over 5,000 High Schools and Colleges nationwide under our “MVP Awards” branded division.
Our newest journey is bringing our signature varsity letter “look” that has been ever-present in pop culture for nearly 100 years to College Bookstores, Specialty Retailers, and Corporate / Resort brands nationwide.

MVP Awards is a new division of Varsity Athletic Apparel, Inc which marks a shift in the types of award products which we offer. Back in 1992 we started out as an apparel supplier making varsity letter sweaters, jackets, and blankets to schools in the Northeast. However, over the past three decades, the varsity awards industry has gravitated towards non-apparel recognition gifts which is the bulk of what we now sell. As we enter our fourth decade of service, MVP Awards has grown to provide a highly diverse offering of authentic varsity recognition keepsakes to over 5,000 schools both domestically and around the globe.
